Job Role: Freelance Coach

Location: Hitsona Chepstow, town centre

Hours: 3-9 sessions per week to start, mix of early mornings, evenings and weekends

Pay: From £15 per hour

About Hitsona

We are a unique fitness studio offering 25-minute, low impact, high intensity sessions for people who have been let down by traditional gyms or simply don’t feel comfortable in the usual gym environment. Small groups, big energy, zero ego.

What you’ll do:

- Coach engaging, inclusive 25-minute sessions using Hitsona formats

- Welcome members by name, give clear cues, regressions and progressions

- Keep the studio tidy and member-ready

- Initially coach a few sessions a week, with opportunities for this to grow

We are only interested in people who:

- Love people (though a love of dogs is also a bonus!)

- Love good music and are able to come up with awesome playlists

- Have lots of energy

- Are comfortable giving sweaty high fives

- Are comfortable in sweaty post-workout photos

- Can relate to a wide range of members

- Are always on time

- Are genuinely into fitness and can come up with fun, safe session ideas

Do not apply if:

- Organised chaos makes you uncomfortable

- You can’t play in a team

- You’re uncomfortable being the only coach in a session

- You are only interested in yourself

- You take yourself too seriously

- You’re more interested in taking fitness selfies than exercising

You must have:

- Minimum of level 2 gym instructor qualification

- First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

- Right to work in the UK

Contract status
This is a freelance/self-employed role. You’ll invoice monthly and manage your own tax and NI. This role falls outside IR35 based on current duties. Holiday pay is not included in freelance fees.
